Art Still Shines in Small Spaces
Do you love to see colour on the wall but space is an issue? Or perhaps you are renting and putting holes in the wall isn't going to go down well with the landlord?
Whatever your scenario, there's still so much colour, character and joy you can instill in a room with small art pieces.
Check out my pro tips for embracing art in small spaces.
SHELF LIFE
Think of your shelving units like a mini gallery; an opportunity to show off your precious objects in all their glory. Negative space is your friend so space out your treasure. Little art pieces - framed or unframed - help to cement a theme or a colour palette.
LEAN ON ME
Who needs to put holes in the wall when all you need are some horizontal surfaces!! Layering art pieces of different shapes, but complementary colours or themes, is always fun. Also, remember the rule of threes for grouping your objects of desire.
FLOOR SHOW
Creating a floor show with your artwork can also be very impactful. Step 1: choose your art according to the vibe of the room you are going for. Step 2: Pair up - e.g. layer a couple of pieces of art together, or pair the art up with a pile of books, plants or a floor lamp.
